This Limited Warranty covers vinyl wrap, paint protection film, and graphics installations performed by Choice Graphics, a trade name of Choice Online Marketing Group Inc., for the original purchaser.
Your warranty has three separate parts, and they are not the same thing. We warrant our workmanship for 14 days. We may repair work outside that window as a courtesy, at our discretion. The film itself is warranted by the company that made it, not by us. Knowing which part covers a given problem is what makes a claim quick instead of slow.
1. Workmanship warranty: 14 days
We warrant our installation workmanship for fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of installation.
This covers defects attributable to the installation itself, reported to us in writing inside those 14 days:
- Adhesion failure caused by improper installation
- Edge lifting or seam separation appearing within the warranty period
- Bubbling or wrinkling caused by installation rather than by environmental, mechanical, or chemical factors
Report a workmanship problem within 14 days. The quickest route is the warranty claim form, which takes photos and timestamps your notice. You can also send a photo and a description to [email protected] or call 780-640-1600. We will inspect the vehicle, and where the defect is ours we correct it at no charge.
Missing the 14-day window ends the workmanship warranty. It does not end your rights under section 7 below.
2. Courtesy repairs after 14 days
After the workmanship warranty expires we may still repair or adjust the work as a goodwill service. That is a decision we make job by job, and it is genuinely discretionary: a courtesy repair is not a warranty, does not extend or restart the warranty period, and may carry labour, material, or partial-replacement charges we will quote before we start.
We would rather you asked. A lifted edge caught early is a ten-minute fix; the same edge six months later is a panel.
3. Material warranty: the manufacturer's, not ours
Vinyl films, laminates, paint protection films, and related materials are covered by the manufacturer's own warranty, on the manufacturer's terms. Those terms are real and specific: they vary by film, by surface orientation (a horizontal hood is rated differently from a vertical door), by climate zone, and by whether the maintenance schedule was followed.
We make no independent warranty on material longevity, durability, colour stability, or performance, because we did not make the film. What we do instead is tell you which film we are putting on your vehicle and what its warranty says before you approve the job.
We will help you make a manufacturer claim for up to three (3) years from the date of installation: pulling the batch and film records from your job file, documenting the failure, and filing with the manufacturer. After three years you deal with the manufacturer directly. The manufacturer decides whether to approve a material claim, and we do not control that outcome.
4. Vehicle surface condition
This warranty applies to vehicles with factory-applied paint in sound condition, or professionally repainted surfaces that have cured for at least ninety (90) days before installation.
We are not responsible for paint failure, peeling, cracking, delamination, clear-coat separation, pre-existing defects, corrosion, rust, or body damage, or for paint that comes away during or after vinyl removal. Vinyl adheres to the surface it is applied to; if that surface is already failing underneath, removing the film reveals the failure rather than causing it.
We inspect the vehicle before installation and tell you in writing where we see a surface risk. If we flag it and you ask us to proceed anyway, that area is outside this warranty.
5. Care and maintenance
Warranty coverage depends on the wrap being cared for. We hand you care instructions at pickup, and following them is a condition of coverage.
Do not:
- Pressure wash the wrap
- Use automated or brush car washes
- Use abrasive tools, solvents, or aggressive chemical cleaners
- Leave the vehicle in prolonged extreme conditions where that can be avoided
Hand wash with mild soap and a soft mitt. Damage caused by any of the prohibited actions above is not a workmanship defect and is not covered.
6. What this warranty does not cover
Normal wear and tear. Accidents, vandalism, misuse, abuse, and third-party damage. Environmental exposure including ultraviolet light, extreme temperature, gravel, road debris, salt, moisture intrusion, and weather. Failures caused by mechanical or environmental stress. Damage caused by anyone else working on the vehicle after we hand it back.
7. Your rights under Alberta law
This warranty adds to your legal rights; it does not replace them.
Alberta's Sale of Goods Act implies terms into a sale, including that goods sold by description match the description, that goods are of merchantable quality, and that goods are reasonably fit for a purpose you told us about and relied on us for. The warranty above is our express warranty and, to the extent it covers the same ground, it applies instead of those implied terms. Beyond that, and to the maximum extent the law allows, other conditions and warranties implied by statute or common law are excluded.
That exclusion does not apply to consumers. Alberta's Consumer Protection Act makes any waiver of its protections void, and it treats harsh, oppressive, or excessively one-sided terms as an unfair practice. If you bought personal work as a consumer, nothing in this warranty limits the rights that Act gives you, including your remedies if we misdescribed the work, exceeded an estimate, or engaged in an unfair practice.
For business and fleet customers, this warranty is the whole of what we warrant.
8. Limit of what we owe
Where this warranty applies, our obligation is to repair or replace the affected section of film, at our option. That is the remedy.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use of the vehicle, lost revenue, downtime on a fleet unit, or any claimed reduction in vehicle value. Our total liability for a warranty claim does not exceed the amount you paid us for the affected area.
Damage to a vehicle while it is physically in our care is handled under Liability and Vehicle Care rather than under this warranty.
9. Who the warranty covers
This warranty covers the original purchaser and the original vehicle. It does not transfer when the vehicle is sold, and it does not follow film removed and reapplied elsewhere.
10. Governing law
This warranty is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it. Disputes go to the courts of Alberta sitting at Edmonton.
11. Acceptance
By authorising installation and taking delivery, you confirm you have read this Limited Warranty and the care instructions we provided. We will give you a copy of both on request at any time.
